This safely changes the SVG viewBox. Artwork outside it remains in the file, so you can restore or adjust the crop later.

The orange outline is the SVG canvas boundary in your editor or cutter.
Practical guide
Set the visible area without losing artwork
- Upload a copy of the SVG and note its original canvas information.
- Enter the X and Y starting point, then the final width and height for the visible work area.
- Use the preview to check the orange boundary before downloading.
- Download a separate SVG and import it into your editor, cutter or laser software to confirm the visible size.
- Keep the original SVG: artwork outside the new viewBox remains in the exported file and can be restored later.
Questions and answers
Before you export
Does this remove paths outside the new canvas?
No. The tool changes the SVG viewBox only. Paths, text and other artwork outside the visible area remain inside the file, which makes the adjustment reversible in an editor.
Will this change the physical size of my SVG?
The tool preserves the SVG’s physical width and height when they exist, while changing the visible viewBox. Always confirm the final size in your editor or cutting software before production.
When should I use this instead of cropping an image?
Use this tool for SVG vector artwork when you need to frame the visible canvas. Use image crop tools for JPG, PNG and other raster photos where pixels outside the shape should be removed.
